Is Plain Statement free?
Yes. Creating, previewing and downloading an invoice or quote as a PDF is free and needs no account. Paid plans (Basic €5/month, Pro €10/month) add saving, email sending, the client book and EU VAT tools.
Do I need an account to create an invoice?
No. You can build an invoice and download the PDF without signing up. Your data stays in your browser until you choose to create an account to save it.
Can I create EU VAT-compliant invoices?
Yes. Plain Statement validates client VAT IDs against the official EU VIES service, applies reverse charge with the correct statutory wording for 15 EU jurisdictions, and shows net and gross totals.
Can I send an invoice and get paid online?
Yes. On a paid plan you can email the invoice or share a private link the client opens in the browser, with a payment link attached when you configure one.
Where is my invoice data stored?
If you do not have an account, nothing is stored on our servers — the invoice lives only in your browser. With an account, saved invoices and clients are stored against your account so you can reuse them.
What is the difference between the free and paid plans?
Free covers invoice and quote creation and PDF download. Paid plans add saving and history, the client book, business-profile defaults, email sending, EU VAT (VIES) validation and the tamper-evident audit ledger.
